JUMP IN with the Santa Clara Aquamaids and learn the basics of synchronized swimming! The Santa Clara Aquamaids are looking for strong swimmers who are eager to learn, attentive, able to follow directions and work cooperatively in a group setting. Basic synchro skills are taught such as sculling, ballet legs, simple figures, arm strokes, land drilling, and more. Swimmers who successfully complete the program may be invited to join the year round competitive team.
We have the following recreational programs available: This summer camp teaches the basics of synchronized swimming. Learn the basics of synchronized swimming at one or all of our two-week long summer day camps. Skills and confidence will blossom during this program which combines synchronized swimming basics, conditioning, flexibility and performance skills, culminating in an exhibition. Young people ages 7 to 11 will enjoy the combination of artistry and athleticism this sport offers by attending these camps. Our experienced coaches are all current or former Synchronized Swimmers. Participants need to be proficient in swimming 25 yards (the length of a pool) and all registration paperwork must be signed by a parent or guardian before the child can participate. Classes subject to cancellation due to low enrollment. Each swimmer receives a T-shirt, cap, and nose clip. Coaching ratio is approximately 8:1. Participants should bring a swimsuit, goggles, towel, 2 snacks, water and sunscreen. CAMP DATES
